May volunteer day

Another great day at the arboretum today. Big thanks to everyone who came along!

As usual we got loads done, quickly cutting back all the Knotweed and then moving on to free up some of the large oak trees from brambles, including one of our top trees – a Hungarian Oak which is now looking much happier. The goats also got a good feed!

There was also time to finish the dead hedge, spot some rare Rhododendron flowers and walk around the site enjoying the sunshine. A lovely day!

Our next volunteer day is on the 18th of June, let us know if you would like to come along.
