Bat and Moth Night with Butterfly Conservation

October 16 @ 6:30 pm - 10:00 pm

£5

Join us for an evening discovering the bats and moths of the Tortworth Arboretum. We bring this event to you in partnership with Butterfly Conservation.  We’ll be setting up traps so we can have a close look at the beautiful moths that live here, and we’ll use bat detectors to tune into the frequency of our resident bats.

Due to Covid-19 we are running this event with limited numbers, across 2 sessions. Booking is essential.

Session 1 will take place from 6.30pm-8pm, with two groups of 6

Session 2 will take place from 8.15pm-9.45pm, with two groups of 6

There is a charge of £5 per person, and this includes a hot drink.  Session 2 is a repeat of session 1, so please only book on to 1 session.

Please be aware that this event takes place in the dark and involves a walk around the woods on uneven ground! Bring a torch with you, and wear sturdy shoes/boots.  Under 18s should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Information about the site and how to find us can be found here.
