Natural Ink Making by HoneyWoods

September 17 @ 10:30 am - 4:00 pm

An ethnobotanical exploration of colour and trees by HoneyWoods.

Join ethnobotanist and woodlander, Bec, among the trees at Tortworth Forest Centre for an introduction to the world of tree pigments.

Explore the many colours hidden in the bark, cones, twigs and leaves of trees that you see around you every day.

We will learn about the historical uses of tree inks and how they were made, and discover the alchemy involved in making inks from nature around the campfire.

We will create colour from the plants around us and you will make your very own inks to take home.
