Spring Festival 2023
March 18 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Free – £25.00
Welcome in the Spring with us this March!
On Saturday 18th March we’ll be joined by an expert team for a very special event. There will be guided tours of the tree collection, a forest school arena and talks exploring the history of the Ducie family and their estate, bug hunts, entertainment from the gorgeous Island Folk Choir, local makers, fireside refreshments and a chance to get your hands dirty as we plant new specimens.
For an additional cost you can release your inner Viking and let off steam with the team at Avalon Axes! We’ll also be joined by the Social Tree Climbers. offering opportunities to see the arboretum on another level. Climbing is suitable for anyone age 7+ of all agilities and abilities. So if you fancy getting into the canopy, add a tree climbing with your tickets below to secure your space!
Please note: This is an arboretum restoration project in progress. We are working hard with volunteers to restore, replant and maintain the arboretum following years of abandonment. Together, we have created paths and cleared around trees so they can flourish and be enjoyed, and are improving labelling and signage but it’s still wild in places and common sense is required when visiting. We plan to keep it this way because it’s part of what makes this place unique; moreover, it’s also great for wildlife. Spring is a fabulous time of year to visit as new life is everywhere in the forest. Book your tickets today!
