Monthly Volunteer Work Day

October 18 @ 10:30 am - 4:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every month that begins at 10:30 am on day Third of the month, repeating until December 31, 2022

We are back up and running with our volunteer activities. We’ve made a few changes to keep everyone safe, so please read about them here, and get in touch if you’d like to come along (volunteer@tortwortharboretum.org)

Learn new skills, meet new people and help restore this unique woodland.

We run monthly volunteer conservation days, using hand tools to restore the arboretum. If you enjoy working in the fresh air in stunning woodland surroundings, this is for you.

Work could include clearing bracken and bramble, chopping firewood, opening up pathways and cutting back overgrowth, and more. Volunteers are involved in deciding what work should be done and how we evolve the project.

We run a minibus from Bristol for those who do not have their own transport.

We are currently unable to provide lunch or refreshments so please bring your lunch, drinking water, and a flask if you’d like a hot drink.
