Led by our very lovely and highly skilled woodland wellbeing team, activities will include fire building and lighting, lunch cooked over an open fire and an introduction to whittling. There will be plenty of time to connect with nature and our magical tree collection. Switch off from the real world and be yourself surrounded by good company and conversation.

This event takes place in a stunningly tranquil, but basic, woodland venue. Our handcrafted Roundhouse offers shelter from the elements with rustic furniture around a crackling wood fire, whilst nearby you’ll find a compost loo and rainwater sink. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate will be provided, along with a light vegetarian lunch cooked over the fire. As there is no running water or electricity at the arboretum this is a back to basics, almost off-grid experience. You may wish to bring additional items for your comfort throughout the day, and we recommend wrapping up warm.
Tortworth Forest Centre is a Community Interest Company, working with limited resources. Sometimes we may have to cancel or postpone courses if they are less than 50% subscribed. We try our hardest to keep courses running wherever possible. You can help us by spreading the word to friends, family and colleagues. If an event is cancelled a full refund will be offered.
