Woodland Wellbeing Facilitator- Forest School Lead/bushcraft Lead

Part-time fixed term contract, 1 day a week (on Thursdays  plus planning and evaluation days TBC), £13.75 ph.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Forest School Lead to plan and facilitate our nature based wellbeing sessions for the Woodland Wellbeing Project, our wellbeing sessions for people of all genders aged 18 and over. You will be working with our Project Manager and with our Forest School Assistant. 

It is essential that you have experience  delivering forest school/bushcraft inspired sessions to adults. 

This is a fixed term contract until March 2023

The role is funded by the Community Lottery Fund.

Scope of contract

  • You will plan a variety of forest school/bushcraft/nature-based activities. 
  • You will co-facilitate the delivery of activities on the day.
  • You will create relevant educational activity materials.
  • You will plan and cook  healthy meals to be cooked on the fire.
  • You will ensure that sessions are risk assessed. 
  • You will contribute to creating a safe and supportive environment for participants. 
  • You will contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of the project
  • You will be available to accompany participants to/from site on the minibus (we have a driver, but we always have a member of staff on the minibus) when needed.

We are also looking for a Forest School Lead for our Hawthorn Project which runs on term time on Wednesdays. Should you want to apply to both roles please specify it in your cover letter. Please be aware that the Hawthorn Project post is only open to female applicants and is exempt under Schedule 9 Part 1 Equalities Act 2010.
