Guest event: Nature Connection Day

October 1, 2023 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

£6.50 – £8.50

Wild & Well celebrates connection and reciprocal relationships with nature.

Genuine nature connection brings profound happiness and increased contentment and even greater connection to others and life as a whole. We can’t all set off to the wilderness. And in any case, when you come back to your daily bread, the connection to nature isn’t always so easy to keep hold of. We need to find that awe-filled, joyful connection in our everyday lives. The lives we lead day in, day out, amongst our family and friends, our tasks and hobbies and that endless to do list.

We might need prompting or reminding to reach out and touch the magic of nature. We might need help to remember how to do this. Or we may just appreciate the extra joy of being given permission to go out and embrace our wild selves and share this with gratitude.

In short, our relationship with the natural world needs to be part and parcel of our everyday existence, and the connection real, rewarding, radiant.

There is joy in every wild corner for every domestic heart. Let us bring you closer to where the wild things are. Let us help you home.

What to Expect:

Welcome to our first pilot session: Beauty and The Beasts!

With a background in ecopsychology and nature based practice, your host Jennifer Short will guide you through a range of gentle but powerful activities to bring you into a closer and more rewarding relationship with the world around you. These may include mindfulness, poetry, folklore, guided time with nature and nature identification, and suggestions to bring your increasing connection to the wild world into your everyday life.

There will be invitations to spend time alone and also to share experiences with others on the course. You may wish to bring a journal or paper if you think you may want to write or draw.

There will be time to share refreshments around the fire as part of the day.

Beauty and The Beasts will focus on finding beauty and delight in our world, and in the more than human life we find there.
