Friends of Tortworth Arboretum support restoration, conservation and connection; helping people engage with nature whilst ensuring a historic collection of over 600 native and exotic trees are safeguarded for future generations.

There are many reasons to become a Friend of Tortworth Arboretum.

As a Friend you will help support our woodland management work, which is essential for maintaining the tree collection. Your generosity will ensure The Dell at Tortworth Arboretum is safe for the wellbeing groups which help people with poor mental health and wellbeing, as well as restoring the woodland for everyone to enjoy today and in years to come.

In return you will receive:

  • Free entry to all Visitor Days and Community Days.
  • Discounts on Walk & Talk events and Bushcraft workshops, saving up to £50 per year.
  • Occasional discounts on venue hire.
  • A free hot drink at every visitor day.
  • Opportunities to connect with our community and support the ongoing restoration of the arboretum.
  • And as people under the age of 18 can attend Visitor and Community days free of charge, you can bring the whole family along with you!

Woodland hire

You can support Tortworth further by hiring the arboretum for regular or special events. To date we have hosted a whole range of events from yoga and meditation, to drumming and orienteering!
It’s a fabulous location to host a party, reunion or wedding, end a Duke of Edinburgh expedition, or camp out under the stars with little to no light pollution beneath the beautiful canopy of native and exotic trees.
