The focus of this creative writing session is to see how it is for us (in all our aspects) to be out writing in the natural world. What parts of us are thrilled to do this? Which are more cautious? How can nature support our creative process?
The setting is the lovely Tortworth Arboretum. Around an open fire, with a kettle boiling, we will meet, set intentions for the session, get to know each other a little, then write! If there is something you are working on, you are welcome to find a spot and continue. If you are new to writing or searching for inspiration, there will be prompts and space to experiment. The space will be safe and nurturing, but not a therapy group. There will be an opportunity to share without judgement, with no pressure. We will close the circle with some reflection and feedback on the process.
The venue offers rustic furniture around the Roundhouse so do feel free to bring additional items for your comfort throughout the day. There will be a compost toilet for your comfort. Please bring drinking water.
I am a therapeutic counsellor, supervisor, trainer and writer. I love being out in nature, especially with a wood fire burning nearby!
