Whether you’re planning a wellbeing retreat, educational weekend, team gathering or time with friends and family, Tortworth Arboretum offers exclusive whole site use of 20 acres of off-grid woodland, allowing your group to fully immerse in nature without sharing the space.
Tucked away in a secluded corner of South Gloucestershire, this ancient arboretum is home to winding trails, exotic trees and peaceful glades. With no mains electricity or running water, it’s a true eco-friendly, back-to-nature experience that encourages connection, creativity and calm. We believe in the magic of disconnecting from the hustle and bustle of modern life and reconnecting with nature and each other.
Each exclusive booking includes:
- Use of our handcrafted wooden roundhouse with communal fire pit
- Space for up to 15 tents
- Room for a marquee or stretch tent and food vans if desired
- Free parking for up to 25 cars
- Eco-friendly compost toilet with rainwater hand wash
- Woodland trails and open glades to explore
- A quiet, car-free site ideal for slow living and group connection
We welcome bookings for all kinds of events, from low-key camping weekends and family reunions to purposeful retreats and away days. You’re welcome to keep it simple or bring in trusted local suppliers to support your plans. We’re here to help as much or as little as you need.

Day hire is available Friday to Monday during term times, or Wednesday to Monday outside of term times. Evening hire is available any day. You can check term dates here.

Experience the tranquility of our arboretum with an exclusive overnight stay. Our rates vary based on the season and the day of the week:
- Rates: £100 – £250 per night
- Capacity: We find around 10 tents to be the comfortable maximum
