The walk will begin at the handcrafted roundhouse with a brief introduction to the arboretum before venturing out together. The walk itself will take around 45 minutes, followed by time to meander at your leisure and take photos should you wish. The event finishes at 12pm.
This is a relaxed walk with lots of time to ask questions, satisfy your curiosity and expand your perspective of this ancient woodland indicator.
We operate from a basic woodland venue with rustic furniture around the camp so do feel free to bring additional items for your comfort. With this in mind most of our pathways can be slippery and muddy at times, appropriate footwear is encouraged. This is a non-catered walk so you will need to bring along any drinking water, food and snacks you may desire. We recommend bringing a notebook or camera to help you remember all the information! You can read more about planning your visit here.
Become an annual pass holder today and you’ll be invited to all our visitor days and celebration events for a whole year. We also offer regular discounts for Walk and Talk events like this one, and early bird offers on woodland hire. Every time you attend an event, or hire the arboretum you contribute to the restoration and help fund our weekly wellbeing groups. That means you’re investing in the wellbeing of others whilst doing something for you! We’ll call that a win win!
