Busy at work

Another beautiful day in the woods yesterday – thank you to everyone that joined us!

We spent the day clearing areas for new trees to be planted, which involved removing any brambles and bracken and making sure there was plenty of light and space in the canopy for the new arrivals to grow into. We managed to completely clear five areas and also improve access to manage and tend to the trees in their first years.

Next we have the exciting task of choosing which specimen trees to add to our collection (please get in touch with any ideas!). The selected trees will then be planted as part of our Autumn Open Day on the 12th of October – more details coming soon!
