Champion tree
Known for its stiff, radially arranged needles this fir is a rare sight in collections. We are luck enough to have a champion in the collection and it’s massive!
This species is endemic to a narrow area of southern Spain, where it grows on Northern slopes at high altitude where is can avoid the strongest of the sunshine and highest temperatures.
