August Volunteer day

A big thank you to everyone who came along today, we got loads done!

Deep inside the arboretum we set to work against a wall of rhododendron, eventually freeing up two large oak trees and letting new light into an area which has been overgrown for a long time. It’s amazing how quickly a big area can be cleared. Elsewhere the knotweed patches were trimmed back again and yet more trees were freed from brambles.

It was great to welcome some new volunteers and say hello to some familiar faces. The next volunteer day is the 11th of September. Hopefully see you then!
