We are really pleased to be able to offer some opportunities to visit the arboretum next month. We have decided to open for socially-distanced open days, via pre-booked slots. More information below.
Fancy exploring a quiet and secluded arboretum? Book a self-guided walk on one of our distanced open days. Come and discover our tree collection, say hello to the goats, and bring a picnic to enjoy in the woods.
We are starting to open to the public, and taking strict measurements to ensure the safety of our visitors and staff.
We have created 2-hour time slots, with staggered arrival times, during which time you can enjoy a walk in the woods. You may only visit on your own or with members of your own household, and we are limiting the number of households on-site at any one time.
When you arrive on-site there will be tree maps for you to use to help you explore. We will have plenty of hand sanitizer available and will clean our compost loo facilities at regular intervals throughout the day. We are unable to provide any water or refreshments during your visit. The arboretum will be open for booked visits on Thursday 2 July and Thursday 16 July.
The following 2 hour time slots are available: 0930, 1000, 1030, 1100, 1130, 1200, 1230, 1300, 1330, 1400, 1430
This open day is free to attend, but we welcome online donations towards the ongoing costs of restoring the arboretum.
We regret that the site is currently not suitable for wheelchairs or people with limited mobility.
