December volunteer day
We had a fabulous volunteer day yesterday. We took on three areas of bamboo, clearing, trimming back and creating new pathways through the undergrowth. There was also chance to remove bramble from nearby shrubs and then a healthy amount of rhododendron root removal for good measure. It was really productive and a reminder of what an impact we can make in a day.
A massive thank you to all our volunteers this year – the arboretum is looking amazing and we have you to thank for it! We look forward to seeing you again in the new year!
Adopt a tree!
We are going to start offering the chance to ‘adopt’ a tree, with a shiny new commemorative label being added to the tree of your choice, plus a message on the online listings.
As a thank you, we want to make this available to any existing volunteers or project participants at a reduced cost of £75. The current full price being £250. If you’re interested please get in touch!
