February volunteer day

Thanks to everyone who came along today! It was really nice to welcome some new faces and connect with our regular volunteers.

Most of the day was spent tackling the overgrown patches of bamboo near the stream, which are now neatly trimmed and looking much better for it. The cuttings were then taken up to the goats for a bamboo feast. We also planted some Red, Grey and Osier willow along the stream bank, to help strengthen it and provide a much needed windbreak. Good work!

Our next volunteer day is on the 19th of March, so hopefully see you then!
