October volunteer day

What a lovely day! Thanks to everyone that came along this month, great to have so many people join us and be blessed with such sunny weather to enjoy the autumn colours.
It was our first day of mapping, which went really well with over 40 trees measured and positioned. A few lessons were quickly learnt and by the end of the day it had evolved into a really efficient operation. Whilst this was going on more teams of volunteers tackled a fallen Goat Willow and patches of brambles, then later in the afternoon started clearing new areas of Rhododendron. All very productive.
Next month we will continue with much the same – splitting up into teams for mapping and clearing. See you then!
